Montbello's housing is largely single-family construction from the 1970s and 1980s, but the earlier and later homes were not built the same way. Homes built before 1980 tend to be ranches on larger lots. Later construction more often uses smaller lots with two-story or split-level plans.
Those differences can matter more than new finishes. A ranch may keep more of the everyday rooms on one level, while a split-level or two-story home divides them across stairs. Compare the original floor plan, lot size, driveway, and yard along with the kitchen, flooring, and other updates.
Montbello was planned with wide, winding streets, street-facing driveways, and large front lawns. The streets do not follow the tighter grid found in many older Denver neighborhoods, so two nearby homes may use different turns to reach Peoria Street, Chambers Road, 56th Avenue, or I-70.
If one of those routes will be part of your normal drive, map it from the exact property. Also check how the driveway and front lawn use the lot, especially when you are comparing parking and outdoor-maintenance needs.
