But what if you can't find any of these things? If you don't want to go out and buy any of these things, then it's time to think outside the box! Here are some unconventional ways to scare geese off your property without breaking the bank.

1. Fake Alligator Heads

What's this? A fake gator head? Why would that scare them off? Geese are very scared of alligators. And in some parts of the world (like Louisiana), people will put fake gators in their yards to keep geese away. If you're ever stuck in a situation with geese and no alligator head around, try placing some giant rubber snakes or snakeskin in your yard instead! Geese are afraid of snakes, too.

2. Roosters

Many people keep roosters on their property when they want to keep geese away because roosters will crow when they see any predators around them, which will scare the geese. If you need to buy a rooster, you can always call your local animal shelter and see if they have any roosters that need a new home! Roosters can also keep other predators away from your rental property. Sometimes, people will attach sirens to their roosters so the geese hear them and think there's a predator nearby, so they'll go somewhere else!

3. Laser Pointers

The following solution you can try is a Laser pointer! Many property management professionals suggest using laser pointers as they scare geese because they feel like a much larger animal nearby could potentially hunt and eat them. 4. Spray Them Away

Geese hate the smell of pepper spray and vinegar, but it's generally not recommended to use pepper spray on your lawn because these sprays are toxic for children and other animals who may end up ingesting it (if they eat grass or dirt). You can try sprinkling red chili powder around your yard as an alternative because this is non-toxic and won't leave stains on your grass.

Sometimes, sound systems don't work as well as hoped; however, if you want to scare the geese, you can try blowing compressed air through a rubber tube. To scare off geese with a scarecrow, you can buy or build your own precariously perched scarecrows that will fall and make loud noises if there is any movement around them (like birds landing on top of them). 8. Install an Automatic Sprinkler System

Although many people find the sound of sprinklers to be annoying, they are a great way to scare off geese because these animals hate being sprayed with water. Suppose you have lots of property that you're trying to water simultaneously. In that case, it might not be worth buying an automatic irrigation system just for geese because it can get expensive! 9. Plant Some Horsetails

If you want something non-invasive and cheap, consider planting horsetails around your yard instead of flowers or bushes. Like most others, these plants grow upwards instead of downwards, making it hard for birds (like geese) to land on top of them. Horsetails also have a powerful, pungent odor, so geese won't want to land on them for this reason as well.

10. Feed the Geese

This last tip may sound strange, but it's very effective - feed the geese something other than your grass! Instead, you can feed them bread or crackers to keep them away from your yard. If you go this route, clean any bread crumbs off your property after you use them as food for the geese so they don't attract pests onto your land.
