Boulder dog-friendly homes for sale: what you are looking at

Every listing above is an active or pending MLS home in Boulder whose description mentions a fenced yard, a dog run or a dog park. The dog decides three things about the house: the fence, the walk to an off-leash park, and an HOA that allows the dog you own. The covenant, not the listing, is the source. 59 homes match right now, from $67,000 to $5,000,000 with a median list price of $749,000. The grid updates the moment a listing changes.

Before you buy

  • Count, weight, breed. Two dogs is the common HOA cap; condo buildings carry 25- to 50-pound limits and some bar breeds by name. Ask for the rules and regulations, not the summary.
  • The fence. Many HOAs allow only 4-foot open rail, or none on open-space lots. A big dog needs 6 feet of privacy fence and that needs written approval before closing.
  • City rules under the HOA. Denver requires a breed-restricted permit; Aurora repealed its ban in 2024; a few suburbs keep breed rules. Check the city before the HOA.
  • Wildlife after dark. Coyotes work every creek corridor and golf course; foothills lots see bears and lions. A fenced yard does not protect a small dog after dark.
